Server

A quick guide on what is server good for and how to run it.

What is a server?

A server is simply a computer located in a datacenter. There are two main benefits of using a server:

  1. A server is usually closer to the locations of your proxies. The shorter distance between the location of your proxies and your server (or PC), the faster speeds you can get.

  2. You can choose the resources you want your server to have - If you have a low spec PC, you can rent a powerful server and run way more tasks that you’d be able to run on your local PC.

Do I need to be running a server?

It’s highly advisable but you don’t need to run a server if you live somewhere close to where your proxies are located, have a decent PC, and fast internet speed.

What server provider is the best?

That depends on your personal preference but a good starting point is Google Cloud Server.

When you sign up, you get a 300$ free credit, that you can use for running servers. These servers are paid hourly so if you only use your Google Cloud credit for sneaker drops, you probably aren’t even going to end up using it all.

Another good option is AWS.
